From 16 to 19 June 2026, a delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, comprising representatives of the Independent System Operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina (NOSBiH), state and entity energy institutions, and GIZ, participated in a study visit to Portugal. A working meeting with the director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community, Artur Lorkovski, was held on 21st April 2026, together with the General Director of the Independent System Operator in BiH Nemanja Pandurević, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac, the Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republika Srpska Peter Đokić and the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of BiH Vedran Lakić, where the topic was the current situation in the field of energy.

The implementation of energy projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina was the topic of the working meeting held on 8th April 2026. In addition to the General Director of the Independent System Operator in BiH Nemanja Pandurević, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac, the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Energy of the United States of America Joshua Volz and the Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in BiH John Ginkel attended the meeting.

Balkan Solar Summit, the leading conference dedicated to promotion and development of renewable energy in the region, was held on 26th and 27th February 2026 in Banja Luka. The energy transition, harmonization with the acquis of the European Union and the establishment of the electricity exchange are the key challenges for the energy sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a response to these processes, the Energy Law Association was founded, with headquarters in Istočno Sarajevo, as a professional association of legal experts specialized in the field of energy, with the aim of providing professional support for improving the legislative framework, strengthening regulatory security and encouraging investments in the energy sector. ...More >>

A working meeting was held at the headquarters of NOSBiH in Sarajevo with the delegation of the Embassy of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Mr. Joseph A. Rozenshtein from the economic department. Given that this is a new representative of the US Embassy, the meeting was an opportunity for introduction, a review of previous cooperation and an exchange of views on the possibilities of its further improvement. ...More >>

The session will take place at NOSBiH premises, address: Hifzi Bjelevca street, no. 17, Sarajevo. This session is open to the public and all interested citizens and media representatives may attend the session but have no right to participate in its work. General Director of NOSBiH Nemanja Pandurević attended 18th emergency session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina held on 30th September 2025. The agenda of the session included the Draft Law on the Regulator, Transmission and Electricity Market in Bosnia and Herzegovina which has been proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, with a request that it be considered under an urgent legislative procedure. ...More >>
