CROSSBOW is a scientific research project funded by the European Commission within the H2020 program. The goal of the project is to demonstrate a number of different, although complementary technologies, offering greater flexibility and robustness to transmission system operators. From 16 to 19 June 2026, a delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, comprising representatives of the Independent System Operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina (NOSBiH), state and entity energy institutions, and GIZ, participated in a study visit to Portugal. The State Electricity Regulatory Commission has issued a new license for the activities of the Independent System Operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which applies from 1^st July, 2026, and will be valid until 30^th June 2033. ...More >>

A working meeting with the director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community, Artur Lorkovski, was held on 21^st April 2026, together with the General Director of the Independent System Operator in BiH Nemanja Pandurević, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac, the Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republika Srpska Peter Đokić and the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry of the Federation of BiH Vedran Lakić, where the topic was the current situation in the field of energy.

The implementation of energy projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina was the topic of the working meeting held on 8^th April 2026. In addition to the General Director of the Independent System Operator in BiH Nemanja Pandurević, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac, the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Energy of the United States of America Joshua Volz and the Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in BiH John Ginkel attended the meeting.
