NOSBiH in the INNO4GRID Project
NOSBiH is participating in the three-year EU research and innovation project INNO4GRID (Innovative Technologies for Massive Renewables Integration into The Grid), funded under the Horizon Europe programme. The project aims to develop and demonstrate innovative technologies, tools and methods for the secure and efficient integration of an increasing share of renewable energy sources into the power system.
The project focuses in particular on improving power system operation and management, cross-border coordination and system security, as well as developing solutions that enable greater flexibility of power grids and more efficient integration of renewable energy sources.
NOSBiH is involved in activities related to cross-border coordination and power system security, as well as in the demonstration of solutions relevant to Western Balkan power systems. The project includes four regional demonstration clusters: Western Balkans, Norway, Hungary and Türkiye.
The project is coordinated by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). The first Kick-off Meeting was held in Athens on 25–26 June 2026, officially marking the start of the project activities.
The project brings together 37 partners from 14 countries, including transmission and distribution system operators, universities, research institutions and industrial partners.
The project runs from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2029 and is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme. Grant Agreement No. 101269521.
