SET 2023 – The Trebinje Energy Summit

Energy Summit in Trebinje – SET 2023 was held from 22nd – 24th March 2023. 720 representatives of companies and institutions from the Energy sector in the Western Balkans and leading domestic and international energy experts attended the Summit. Among the key focus areas of the three-day Summit were energy efficiency, renewable sources and and transition of the Energy sector to clean energy.

SET 2023 was opened by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik. On that occasion he supported the proposal made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for the formation of ”a Solidary Energy Community” in order to achieve energy efficiency and independence of the Western Balkans which was also discussed between him and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó at the Summit.

NOSBiH General Director Nemanja Pandurević participated in a panel discussion where the subject was “The role of distributed generation and flexibility services in the process of further development of the Energy market and large scale integration of renewable energy sources”.

Clean Energy Transition and the role of the EU in this process, decarbonization, investments in photovoltaic systems and wind power plants and development of electromobility, digitalisation and infrastructure of power systems with the purpose of mutual connection and development of the Energy market in the Region, as well as the regional access to all energy sources’ supply were the most significant topics at the Trebinje Summit being the leading Energy Meeting in the Western Balkans.

This fourth Energy Summit held under the slogan ”Building the energy future of the Western Balkans together” was organized by Elektoprivreda Republike Srpske, the city of Trebinje and the company SET Trebinje.
